Mrs. Abeyta grew up in Aberdeen, South Dakota. After she graduated from High School, she attended Northern State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science of Education in mathematics. Following college, Mrs. Abeyta (then Miss Marmorstein) taught in the Roslyn-Eden School District for five years as a mathematics and computer class instructor. While in Roslyn, Mrs. Abeyta pursued an endorsement in educational technology. Mrs. Abeyta left Roslyn to prepare to go to graduate school in Colorado. While in Colorado, Mrs. Abeyta studied mathematics education, but she missed South Dakota. Mrs. Abeyta returned to South Dakota in 2011 to teach 6th grade math at Todd County Middle School. In 2012, she moved to Pierre for her husband's work and was a substitute teacher for a year. She is delighted to be the new tech coordinator and computer teacher at Langford Area School.
